Coconut derived ingredients
This is my current list of ingredients, potentially or always, derived from coconut.  I compiled the information from different sources online. hopefully I haven't missed any but if you notice anything I should add please let me know and I'll update it.

Coconut is commonly use in cosmetics, cleaners, and personal hygiene products.  It can also be in medication.

I can't list them all but these are some medications containing coconut derivatives.  It's just a small sample to show that you should always make sure to check medication ingredients.

CIALIS® (tadalafil) - Contains Sodium Laurel Sulfate
Cymbalta® (duloxetine hydrochloride) - Contains Sodium Laurel Sulfate
Deconsal (Guaifenesin) - Contains Sodium Laurel Sulfate

For the longest time I thought I was just sensitive to sodium lauryl sulfate and I thought it was only used in dish soap. Ahh, the innocent days, lol. Angel Looking back now it all clicks into place and makes sense. Do you know there's coconut oil in Cool Whip? So many people rave about how wonderful it is and I've always hated it, that makes sense to me now too.

Trying to change my diet and products for the corn allergy means that I've gone pretty organic. In a way the corn allergy makes it easier to avoid coconut ingredients because I was avoiding the "hidden" ones anyway. I think I would have unknowingly suffered with the allergy my whole life if I hadn't stumbled across it due to my daughter's corn allergy.
